Bodegas Remírez de Ganuza was founded in 1989 by Fernando Remírez de Ganuza in Samaniego, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, one of Rioja’s most prestigious areas. From the outset, the estate has distinguished itself through its focus on old vineyards and the rigorous selection of its finest parcels, seeking to express the most precise and elegant interpretation of the terroir.

The estate works predominantly with Tempranillo from mature, old-vine vineyards, planted on predominantly clay-limestone soils and benefiting from the influence of the Sierra de Cantabria. Its winemaking philosophy is based on exceptional attention to detail, from grape selection through vinification and ageing, combining traditional methods with an innovative approach.

The result is wines of remarkable concentration and depth, while always retaining freshness, balance and longevity, establishing Remírez de Ganuza as one of the most distinctive and sophisticated names in contemporary Rioja.
