Quinta do Monte d’Oiro is currently one of the most recognized producers in the Lisbon region. Acquired by Eng. Bento dos Santos, a renowned gastronome and a lover of Rhone wines, who, driven by the dream of producing a Syrah that could, one day, stand alongside the great Syrah's from Hermitage or Cotê-Rotie, planted a plot, the Plot 24, only with vines coming directly from Hermitage, brought by Mr. Chapoutier.
