Make Up Masterclass Dior by José Teixeira

Since his boyhood, José Teixeira has always been attracted to colors and art. Instead of playing with other children and friends, he isolated himself in his own world, creating images, mixing colors and textures to express his emotions and desires. A former Interior and Furniture Design student at IADE – Creative University in Lisbon, it was his hobby and passion for photography that allowed him come across books and editorials about characterization and makeup. Suddenly he experienced the same emotions going in a cosmetic store as he did entering an art store… Colors and textures that could be combined and play with in a thousand different ways. In the past 20 years, José Teixeira has gone from the world of TV and fashion to the world of Dior. In between he worked for Guerlain, Shiseido and Chanel where he was recognized for his makeup knowledge, his artistic skills and his ability to transform beauty trends into everyday easy and fast makeup for the working woman. Since he joined the prestigious International Dior Pro-Team in 2015, José travelled around the world as a Dior Makeup Ambassador, adapting the Dior Makeup savoir-faire to the local markets and beauty trends, enriching himself with all the different and amazing cultures. Cannes and Marrakech Film Festivals, the Backstage of the Dior Fashion Shows are now a regular part of his work where he adapts the creative vision of Peter Phillips into the models wearing the work of Maria Grazia Chiuri. Everyday people, traveling and art are his three main sources of inspiration.
