Recognized as one of Brazil’s leading antique dealers, Itamar Musse stands out for his work in promoting Brazilian antique art. On June 16 of this year, he inaugurated a branch of his antique shop in Lisbon, located on Avenida da Liberdade. His excellence has established him as a prominent figure in the country’s cultural scene. During the Lunch and Talk event, he will share his journey in the art world and present the book Jewels in Bahia from the 18th and 19th Centuries, a historical and artistic work that portrays Bahian jewelry—especially that worn by enslaved Black women—as symbols of culture and power, rather than merely as aesthetic adornments.
