Pedro Flores was born in Lisbon and his entire career has been marked by the central place that music has always occupied in his life and in his family life. This constant presence, together with the fact that he knew fado houses from a very early age, meant that there was no doubt that this was his passion. Owner of a unique voice, with a very special timbre, we can feel his passion for Fado but also other influences that are part of his experience. When he sings, his vocal ability is very evident, capable of making us shiver from the first second we hear him – as is the case with the song “Última Lágrima” that is part of his first album that will be released soon.
In Fado, Carlos Ramos, João Ferreira Rosa, Carlos Do Carmo, Camané and Ricardo Ribeiro are among his biggest influences. But in his first self-titled album, Pedro Flores will also pay tribute to some of the most important and timeless Portuguese crooners, such as Tony de Matos, Francisco José and Rui de Mascarenhas.
Produced by Diogo Clemente, this is a tribute album that also embraces other sounds and authors, such as the singles already released; “Leonor” by Agir and “Última Lágrima” by Matias Damásio, showing that Pedro Flores is not confined to a single musical style. Your voice is your unmistakable brand. This is the starting point for what will come next.
Recently, he revealed a new theme, “Sagittarius”, with music and lyrics by Miguel Araújo and music video by André Tentúgal, which will be part of his next album of originals.
