Born at the start of the 21st century, Bárbara Bandeira has quickly built an impressive career. She began her professional journey in November 2015 and, just two years later, was recognized as Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the Golden Globes.
Her steady rise has been marked by major milestones: after selling out Lisbon’s Coliseu dos Recreios in 2021, she filled Sagres Campo Pequeno in 2023, further establishing herself as one of the leading names in Portuguese music. That same year, she was invited by Coldplay to open all four of the band’s concerts at the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra.
In March 2025, she released Lusa: Act I, the first chapter of a four-part project titled Lusa. This ambitious musical journey creates a shared sonic space between Portugal and Brazil. Her growing international presence and collaborations with acclaimed artists have reinforced her position as one of the most influential voices of the new generation of Lusophone music. Lusa: Act I marks the beginning of an innovative artistic cycle, with Bárbara Bandeira set to continue surprising audiences by exploring new sounds and themes in each upcoming chapter.
